Statement
I am a compositing artist from South Korea, currently based in San Francisco and studying Visual Effects at the Academy of Art University.
My interest in film started at a young age in Korea. Watching films made me curious about how visual effects are created, which naturally led me to pursue VFX and compositing.
I specialize in compositing using Nuke, where I integrate live-action footage with CG elements to create seamless and believable images. I have developed skills in keying, roto, paint, cleanup, and CG integration, with a strong focus on maintaining visual consistency across shots.
Through Studio X, I have collaborated with other artists in a production-style environment on short film projects. This experience helped me strengthen my communication skills and understand the importance of teamwork in a VFX pipeline.
To me, the best visual effects are the ones the audience never notices. The greatest compliment for my work would not be “That CG looks good,” but rather, “Wait… that was CG?”
